Hello, my name is Kyle Lafontaine, a third year graphic design student at St.Lawrence College. For design, I aim to have a very strong conceptual theme and work hard to make sure that concept is well represented. I have several years background for programming and development and I am looking forward to combining that with what I have learned during this program to simply do good design, in both print, and in web. I personally believe myself to be a generalist designer and feel that I can take on any task that is given to me.

As a child I was always determined and excited to draw and create new things. I was always producing artwork. As I grew older, I steered away from the simple crafts and colouring and became very attentive to ads, colours, type, and the organization of visual layout. I chose Graphic Design because I see it as an opportunity to problem solve and seek visual perfection. Making things visually appealing is a great talent, but being able to make things work is an important skill in which I have learned and will continue to develop.
